Location
The drive time from Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City to Phan Thiet city is approximately three and a half hours. Phan Thiet does not have an airport of its own. Phan Thiet is 198 kilometers to the east of Ho Chi Minh City, traveling along Highway No.1. There is also a train service between Ho Chi Minh City and Phan Thiet. A good air conditioned train plies daily between the two places. The recommended means of transport between Phan Thiet and nearby cities such as Da Lat and Nha Trang is by tourist bus. The immediate surroundings may be explored on motor bike but with due caution.
